Unity Ondo was founded in 1985 along with 8 other unity schools in former Ondo state, but since the creation of new states, some of the unity schools have now become part of schools in Ekiti state.

Unity Ondo a unique school, life in the school, and what happens after a student leaves Unity Ondo. It is the only girls-only school among the 9 unity schools founded in September 1985 in Nigeria.The first Principal was Mrs Adeleye. Unity schools were formerly a teacher's training school, which later became unity secondary schools.
The main goal of Unity Ondo is to help each Student reach full potential in all areas of life. This allows the Students to experience the joy of learning, time to enjoy the process and ensure the development of self-esteem, and provide the experiences from which Students create their knowledge.
